Add component
How to Add a Component in Twin Fabrica
Learn how to add a new component in Twin Fabrica using a heat source as an example. This procedure applies to all component types, including boundary conditions, mathematical expressions, ROMs, and calibration instances. Follow these steps to add and configure your new component.
Steps to Add a New Component
- Open the heat sources list: Within the Physics panel, click the Heat sources button to display the list of existing heat sources.
- Add a new heat source: Click the Add heat source button (+ icon) at the bottom of the heat sources panel.
- Assign a custom name: In the dialog box that appears, enter a custom name for your new component.
- Confirm creation: Click OK to save the component.
- Verify component creation: Look for your new component at the bottom of the heat sources list. You can also check the interface's log panel for confirmation.
- View in the project structure: Expand the Heat sources section in the navigation tree to see your new component among other elements.
- Configure the component: A small dot next to the component name indicates it needs configuration. Define its properties to make it functional.
