How to Delete a Component in Twin Fabrica

This guide demonstrates how to remove a component in Twin Fabrica, using a boundary condition as an example. These steps apply to other components as well.

Steps to Delete a Component

  1. Navigate to the PHYSICS tab: Click on the Boundary conditions button to open the menu.
  2. Identify the components to delete: In this example, the project has three boundary conditions: boundary_1, boundary_2, and boundary_3.
  3. Select the component to delete: Locate boundary_2 in the list and click to select it.
  4. Click the Remove button: Click the Remove boundary condition button (X icon) at the bottom of the menu panel.

After deletion:

  1. Verify removal: Check that boundary_2 no longer appears in the list.
  2. Check the log panel: A confirmation message will appear: "Removed boundary condition: boundary_2."
  3. Verify in the Project tree: In the left panel, expand Boundary conditions to confirm only boundary_1 and boundary_3 remain.
  4. Reopen the Boundary Conditions menu: Access it through the toolbar.
  5. Remove multiple components: Hold the Shift key to select multiple items.
  6. Select multiple components: While holding Shift, click boundary_1 and boundary_3.
  7. Click Remove: Click the Remove boundary condition button to delete both selected components.
  8. Confirm deletion: Verify that the list is now empty, showing all components were removed.
