How to manage Group Entities in Twin Fabrica
Grouping entities in Twin Fabrica helps improve organization and management, especially when dealing with numerous entities. This guide shows you how to create, manage, and remove groups efficiently.
Steps to Group Entities
- Understanding grouping: When you import a mesh file into Twin Fabrica, it can contain multiple entities. For better organization, you can group related entities together.
- Create a new group: Navigate to the tree structure on the left. Locate the Groups node under the desired section, then right-click it to open the context menu.
- Add a new group: Select New group from the context menu. The system will assign a default name, which you can change to something more descriptive. Click OK to create the group.
- Assign entities to the group: After the new group appears in the entity tree, select your desired entity, right-click it, choose Add to, and select the new group from the list.
- Add multiple entities at once: To select multiple entities, hold Shift or Ctrl while clicking. Then right-click and follow the same steps to add them to the group.
- Quick group creation from an entity: You can create a group directly from an entity. Select Entity_3, right-click, and choose New Group. This creates a group and automatically adds the selected entity.
- Reassign an entity to a different group: To move an entity, select it, right-click, and choose Move to group. Select the target group from the submenu.
- Remove an entity from a group: To remove an entity, right-click it and select Remove from group. The entity will return to the ungrouped entities list.
- Deleting a group: To delete a group, right-click the group node and select Remove group. The group will be removed, but its entities will be preserved in the main entity list.
